There were 106,412 residential and commercial land and property sales in England and Wales in November, according to new property price paid data from the Land Registry.
The figures reveal that there were 73,113 freehold properties, along with 13,095 new build properties logged for registration.
In terms of property type, 27,890 of the properties put forward for registration were terraced, 27,093 were semi-detached, 24,767 detached, 19,637 flats/maisonettes, while there were also 7,027 ‘other’ property types.
In total, 30,458 sales took place across England and Wales in November, which is 28.7% of the total sales received for registration in the month.

Of all the transactions that took place last month, 490 homes were acquired for £1 million-plus, with more than half – 293 – of these transactions taking place in Greater London.
The most expensive residential sale in November was a semi-detached property in the London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea for £13 million.
The cheapest residential sale in November was of a terraced property in Burnley for £15,000.
The most expensive commercial property sale in November was in Solihull, West Midlands, for £73.9 million.
